Today, take a minute (or more) and decide the first step. Many say the first step to effective change is acceptance. Archbishop Desmond Tutu said, “The acceptance of reality is the only place change can begin.” Throughout our lives, most of us will find ourselves in situations that may feel “unacceptable.” Maybe our current situation does not meet our expectations or past successes. We may feel completely gob-smacked at how things are now. This discomfort may cause us to get stuck, confused, and overwhelmed. Clinging to the past is a surefire way to prevent forward movement. Before the New Year approaches, can you find acceptance and prepare to move on?
