Healing Isn’t About Forgetting 💕

I used to think that time would heal all wounds, but sometimes, it only pushes us to hide the pain behind forced smiles.

I convinced myself that forgetting was the same as healing, but deep down, the hurt lingers in the smallest moments—like when a familiar song plays or a scent brings back an unwanted memory. We often get caught up in life’s busyness, hoping the pain will fade into the background, but in reality, it’s just buried, waiting for quiet moments to resurface.

I’ve learned that pretending to be fine only makes the weight heavier. It's in the times when someone says something innocent, but it hits a nerve, or when we find ourselves unexpectedly crying over something seemingly small.

These are reminders that healing isn’t about forgetting; it’s about allowing ourselves to feel, to acknowledge what broke us, and to slowly rebuild from it. It’s the journey of accepting that some scars will stay, but we don’t have to carry the hurt forever.
